The photo shows the pan and first bread 5 minutes out of the oven just put on the cooling rack. The loaf easily slid out of the pan. All I did to the pan before using it was to wipe a lightly damp paper towel on the inside. There are a couple of tablespoons of oil in the bread recipe, but nothing added to the pan. The company does not recommend any spray. The signature ripples in the pan are transferred to the loaf. I like the look.
